Successfully Completed the Document Service for the 15th National Games and Para & Special Olympics

In 2025, the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th Special Olympic Games successfully concluded in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This sports event spanning three regions and covering five competition zones presented to the world a Bay Area achievement featuring "simplicity, security and excellence". Behind the scenes of this grand event, IST, supported by over 30 years of expertise in document production technology, built a solid, reliable and efficient intelligent security line for the Games.

In this event, we coordinated and guaranteed the document management for 2 closing ceremonies, 1 torch relay and more than 30 competitions in Shenzhen, Huizhou, Yangjiang, Zhanjiang and other competition zones. We produced over 150,000 documents with "zero errors" and conducted more than 900,000 human-vehicle inspections with "zero unauthorized access". The high-standard document production venue for the closing ceremonies achieved a closed-loop management covering the whole process from document information registration and acceptance to production and issuance, providing a solid guarantee for the safe and orderly operation of the Games.

Faced with the multi-location layout spanning three regions and five competition zones in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the diverse needs of different groups including athletes, media personnel and volunteers, we customized a multi-format, high-security event document system. Each document fulfills the core functions of accurate identity recognition and smooth access, laying a solid foundation for the stable and orderly operation of the entire Games.

In terms of document production technology, we fully leveraged the technological advantages of IST's "eID" product series, integrating our years of precision manufacturing capabilities with the special requirements of the Games to ensure that document quality withstands high-intensity and high-frequency use.

To meet the high-frequency and large-volume personnel access demands during the event, we deployed an intelligent verification system combining "contactless inspection and contact-based verification". Through the scientific allocation of channel-type, eGate-type, column-type and handheld mobile terminals, flexible coverage was achieved from core venues to the "last meter" of access.

Particularly noteworthy is that IST's independently developed "ePass" system played a critical role in the Games. The system enabled real-time data synchronization across multiple competition zones, with a total of 743,000 personnel inspections and 57,000 vehicle inspections. With its accurate and rapid verification capabilities, it met the standards of "efficient operation and management, first-class service and support" recognized by the Organizing Committee.

From the "grand vision" of the 15th National Games to the "triumph of self-reliance" of the Para Special Olympics Games, we were honored to participate in and safeguard this glorious journey throughout with craftsmanship and technology. What we delivered was not just documents and systems, but a solemn promise of security, efficiency and collaboration.
