Currently, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has set up the international normalization of electronic passport. Over 70 countries (and/or regions) have generally issued electronic passports with biometric information. Electronic passports have been popularized rapidly as an international document, immigration departments from every country in the world are spending tremendous manpower and resources to handle the issuance of documents every day.
In 2006, IST developed the Automated Passport Storage & Collection System (eCabinet), since then eCabinet has been widely used in Hong Kong for many years and positive feedback of the system was constantly received. eCabinet is a device combines computer database, smart card and auto-control technologies, featuring the technological availability of electronic passport itself, to access batch processing of automated storage and collection. With this special device, applicants can accomplish collection by total self-service without any help in less than 6 seconds, the whole process is incredibly simple, fast and efficient. It is set free from complicated manpower requirement, check out problems, and it is also save plenty of time and lowers the percentage of error occurrence, by which saves considerable operational cost and increases work efficiency meanwhile.

In 2018, the eCabinets were deployed successfully in China Southern Airlines Xinjiang Branch.
In July of 2017, IST customized large-capacity card eCabinets and book eCabinets were deployed successfully the Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu Entry and Exit Projects.
In April of 2017, IST won the bidding of exit and entry equipment procurement project of Dezhou Public Security Bureau and intended to complete in the June 2017.
In February of 2017, IST won the bidding of 5 large-capacity ePassport eCabinets project of Chengdu Police Station Exit-Entry Administration Bureau and the equipment was delivered in May of 2017.
In 2015, eCabinet was successfully deployed in Dongguan and Shenzhen Police Station Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.
IST won the bidding of Hong Kong Immigration Department in 2014, which was the second invitation of tender of automated document arrangement project since 2006, IST won the bidding once again with its new generation of products with superior performance and years of qualified service.
In 2014, eCabinet was successfully deployed in Macau Identity Certificate Authority.
In 2013, eCabinet was successfully deployed in Chengdu Police Station Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.
In 2013, eCabinet was successfully deployed in Luzhou Police Station Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.
